Printing Projects

 

Use the Print Setup dialog to set various options for your project before printing.

 

The Print Setup dialog can be found by selecting the File menu and then selecting the Print menu item.

Print Profile

 

Use print profiles to save and load common settings for printing projects.

 

Profile - Shows a list of saved print profiles. You can also type a new profile name for saving.

 

Save - Saves the current print options to the selected profile.

 

Load - Load the currently selected profile.

 

Delete - Delete the currently selected profile.

 

Preview

 

Displays the layout of the project on paper using the currently selected print options.

 

Show non-printable areas of paper - Select this option to indicate areas of the paper that cannot be printed. To avoid clipping, make sure your project is within the printable area.

 

Output

 

Printer - Shows a list of available printers.

 

Quality - Shows a list of resolutions supported by the selected printer. A higher quality selection results in a better print.

 

Paper

 

Source - Shows a list of paper sources supported by the selected printer.

 

Size - Shows a list of paper sizes supported by the selected printer.

 

Orientation

 

Select the orientation of the paper; either Landscape (Horizontal) or Portrait (Vertical).

 

Centering

 

Horizontal - Center the project horizontally on the paper.

 

Vertical - Center the project vertically on the paper.

 

Image Offset

 

Units - The unit of the Offset X and Offset Y measurements.

 

Offset X - Offset from left edge of the paper to the project.

 

Offset Y - Offset from the top edge of the paper to the project.

 

Offset Relative To - Measure the offsets to either the upper-left corner or center of the project.

 

Options

 

Print Crop Marks - Print crop marks in the selected color to aid in cutting out the project.

 

Print Outer Guide - Print the outer guide of the project in the selected color. This can aid in adjusting print alignment and also cutting out projects that contain large white areas near the edges.
